Be sure to finish the evening with a sip of rakija, a potent but restorative brandy that’s known for encouraging conviviality and conversation. Ana Divac and her husband, Vlade (World Championship winner and former NBA star) bought a summer home in Luštica Bay several years ago. She’s now opened the Luštica Beauty Bar in Centrale, a unisex beauty studio where people emerge looking transformed – and feeling confident.
“Luštica Bay is a way of life,” says Ana. “Our family and friends from around the world join us here at our summer retreat, and our neighbours have become cherished friends.”
The couple embrace the seaside lifestyle. Vlade likes to meet friends for morning coffee by the marina, then go sailing or join a friendly outdoor chess match.
“Meanwhile, my greatest joy is beach time,” says Ana with a smile. Luckily the private beaches and sea lounges provide blissfully peaceful days beside the crystal-clear waters.
