Mamić 1970 The Collection-Enriched with knowledge and expertise

Lakovic Andjela - Aug 09, 2024

Mamić 1970 is the official Croatian distributor of luxury watches and jewelry. The Mamić family story began in 1970 with the opening of a small watchmaking business in the center of Zagreb. Shortly after setting up a watchmaking business, Pero Mamić undertook a trial assessment at Rolex in Geneva. Mr Mamić was the first in Croatia to work with Swiss luxury brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Baume & Mercier, Vacheron Constantin. These brands recognized his knowledge and expertise, and in 1978 he became one of the two official Rolex repairmen in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

Today, at Mamić 1970 boutique in the Zagreb city center, you can find Swiss luxury watches, Rolex and Tudor, and diamond jewelry by world-famous jewelry maisons; Chaumet, Damiani, and Messika.

Celebrating the wonder of life

The Mamić 1970 brand’s tradition and family heritage continuously appeal to the new generations inspired by the allure of luxury brands. The opening of a new chapter required rebranding of the Mamić 1970 brand.

The inspiration for the new brand story came from adorning life’s special and important events with the beauty and elegance of watches and jewelry. Mamić 1970 celebrates the extraordinary luxury of quiet elegance. Extraordinary luxury was created to inspire. Magnificent creations are given as gifts to celebrate important events in our lives, events that, like the fine details on a luxury watch, enrich our lives and inspire us with their beauty and significance. Life is woven from different milestones, and luxury watch and jewelry brands celebrate the happy occasions in people’s lives. Mamić 1970 celebrates these joyful and important moments, and adorns them with beauty and elegance.

Unique artistic expression

The best way to illustrate beauty is to show it through artistic expression. The brand’s verbal and visual expression is a result of collaboration with the creatives. With the unique concept, Mamić 1970 presents the extraordinary luxury of quiet elegance in a subtle, moderate and dignified way. Quiet elegance is shown as a metaphor that unites the beauty of nature and jewelry. The artistic concept is shown through poetry and visuals. The brand mood poems are written by Fabular Agency, and the visuals are created by Croatian academic artists Ana Sladetić Šabić and Miran Šabić. Together they manifest the extraordinary elegant minimalism of the Mamić 1970 brand.

Swiss luxury watches

The Mamić 1970 boutique features dedicated areas showcasing Swiss luxury watches Rolex and Tudor. Rolex has long been recognized as a leader when it comes to constant improvement of watch technology and aesthetics. Rolex designs exceptional collections based on innovation and outstanding quality. The boutique has a broad range of watches to meet extensive demands, including those of Tudor watch aficionados. The sophisticated and reliable mechanical watches offered by Tudor have always been the choice of the bravest adventurers and experienced professionals. The formidable character of the Black Bay collection reflects the elegance and strong character of Tudor timepieces.

Aesthetic heritage

The Black Bay line is a result of the subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking. This line brings together over 60 years of TUDOR dive watches but at the same time it is firmly anchored in the present. Conceptually neo-vintage, yet its manufacturing techniques, reliability, robustness and the quality of its finish can readily comply with the most stringent requirements of the present times.

The Black Bay 41 brings a more formal feel to the Black Bay models. Similarly to other models in the Black Bay line, these models feature a dial inspired by the TUDOR dive watches produced in the 1950s. These contemporary models share the features of the first generation of TUDOR dive watches.

Extraordinary luxury

In 2021 the boutique expanded its product assortment to include luxury diamond jewelry brands such as Chaumet, Damiani and Messika, which, just like the Mamić 1970 brand, celebrate the jewelry’s beauty, as well as the family heritage.

Among these, Messika stands out for its innovative approach to luxury jewelry. Founded by Valérie Messika in 2005, the brand has redefined diamonds, transforming them into symbols of modernity and wearability, alongside opulence.

Central to Messika’s legacy is their iconic Move collection, featuring diamonds set in configurations that allow them to move freely, catching light from every angle to create a dazzling brilliance. This collection became a global phenomenon, embodying the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and modern luxury.

Introduced later, the So Move collection continues to uphold Messika’s reputation for innovation and elegance. The So Move bangle bracelet adds just the right touch of modernity and boldness to any silhouette.

A highly status-setting piece of jewelry, its pavé version adds a sparkle of light to the wrist. It is available in rose gold for a chic, glamorous effect, in white gold for timeless elegance, and in yellow gold for an ultra-hypnotic aura.

Here, Valérie Messika reinvents the house’s signature motif in a powerful version: A Move XXL that sublimates a characterful piece for a unique authenticity. This audacious design plays on the subtle contrast between the thinness of the bracelet and the oversized motif. An innovative detail of the So Move collection: a pavé halo surrounds the central moving diamond, to maximize its effect. Thanks to its integrated clasp, this bangle bracelet can be slipped on and off in a flash.

A highly desirable luxury jewelry piece, to be worn alone or in combination for even greater sparkle.

Come and visit Mamić 1970, experience the brilliance of Messika So Move diamonds together with the astounding watch and jewelry collections, all in one place in the center of Zagreb.
