Drawing from the picturesque environment surrounding the boutique hotel and the rich Slovene culinary culture, the two-Michelin-star Milka restaurant, led by the head chef David Žefran, is revolutionary and ever-evolving.

This young and passionate team of culinary experts that shares the same affection for the Nordic food movement, designed a single-tasting menu inspired by minimalistic aesthetics, highest quality ingredients, and by the short and harsh seasons that define life in the Alps. Chef Žefran and his team bring all of surrounding nature’s treasures back into the kitchen and combine them with the best, regionally sourced, seasonal ingredients, by using local and long-forgotten techniques and customs, to create dishes that cherish Slovenia’s culture and heritage. The balance of comfort and lightness is always at the centre of Milka food philosophy and that’s what keeps guests intrigued and coming back for more. Much of the focus is on vegetables and freshwater fish, and in spring, as nature wakes up, the menu features first asparagus and strawberries, spruce tops, linden buds, and delicious spring lamb makes its appearance.

To complement their delicious food offer, Milka showcases Slovenian wine culture, by featuring biodynamic and organic wines from regional producers. They also serve house-made cocktails inspired by regional ingredients, tea selection hand-picked on the hills of the Slovenian Alps and fairtrade coffee selection.
